
With an aim to successfully implement the NCERT syllabus in the
schools from the upcoming academic year, Education Minister Ratan Lal
Nath on Saturday held a meeting with the Inspectors of School, DEOs of
different districts in Birchandra State Central Library.
The
Tripura government has decided to introduce NCERT textbooks and CBSE
syllabus from the next academic session beginning April in place of the
present curriculum prescribed by the State Council of Educational
Research and Training.
In line
with this, the BJP-led Tripura Government will impart training to some
40,660 school teachers to enable them to switch to the NCERT curriculum.
It
was informed that for the first time in 43 years, NCERT curriculum
would be introduced in nearly 5,000 Tripura government-run schools from
the 2019-20 academic session.
