TRIPURA HC DIRECTS STATE GOVT TO PROVIDE BENEFIT TO ADHOC TEACHERS!

Agartala, Jan 22 (UNI) A division bench of Tripura high court comprising chief justice Sanjay Karol and justice Arindam Lodh directed the state government to provide service benefit to teachers among adhoc 10,323 who cleared Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) and joined service afresh.

As many as 10,323 teachers of government schools were terminated from the service after Supreme Court upheld the decision of high court about two years ago. However, to run the schools the court allowed their service on adhoc basis, which has letter been extended for two years.

Meantime, a few of those adhoc teachers have able to clear TET exam and got appointment afresh but the state government did not consider the benefit of their service for which a group of victim teachers moved to high court seeking relief.
